David T. Bosch

David Tobias Bosch was born in 2000 as the third child of German parents in Zagreb, Croatia. From the age of three he sang in his father’s choir. In 2008, he began his musical education at the Ivan Zajc Primary Music School, Zagreb, in the class of Željka Serdarušić. From 2015 to 2019 he attended the Elly Bašić Music High School, in the class of prof. Minja Kolak with sixteen music lessons per week and at the same time the Zagreb Upper Town High School. He successfully graduated from both high schools in the summer of 2019 with top marks and distinction.

David Bosch has won the 1st prize in each of the following international competitions: Belgrade (Serbia 2014), San Donna di Piave and Trieste (Italy 2014), Varaždin (Croatia 2015), Križevci (Croatia 2017). He received 1st or 2nd prizes several times at regional and national competitions.

He attended master classes with internationally renowned pedagogues and pianists such as Ruben Dalibaltayan, Eugene Alcalay, Grigory Gruzman, Milana Chernyavskaya, Hartmut Schneider  and Andreas Weber.

In 2018 he performed with the Elly Bašić Symphony Orchestra as a soloist with E.Lecuona’s piece La Comparsa.  In 2017, 2018 and 2019 he performed his own compositions himself at the premiere: the Concerto for Piano and Orchestra Op.2, the piano piece “Allegro de concert” Op.3 and the piano piece Ballade Op.4.

In 2018 he had his first recital at the Croatian House of Culture, which was highly praised by critics. In 2019 he played a recital in the full Croatian Music Society, which was highly acclaimed by the audience. David Bosch performed at the state reception of the German President F.-W. Steinmeier at the Croatian President K. Grabar-Kitarović in Zagreb.

In October 2019, he began his studies at the Leopold Mozart Zentrum Augsburg in the class of Evgenia Rubinova, where he is now starting the fourth semester. There he participated as a pianist in numerous artistic projects, e.g. the “Keyboard Legacy-250 Years of Beethoven Project”. In the summer 2020, he played three open-air concerts in Umag, Istria. As a pianist, he supports humanitarian actions for children in Africa and senior citizens’ homes in Croatia by performing at events. Due to the current Corona situation, other planned projects and competitions in which he would have participated were cancelled.
